IDC

IDC Lunettes, an exercise in Design

Founded in 1985 by a renowned jeweller, Pascal Lacotte, who moved into the world of eyewear after meeting Alain Mikli, for whom he worked as a designer to create haute couture collections.
Pascal Lacotte created extremely unconventional glasses, such as the legendary, unobtainable IDC 422 and he collaborated with the famous designer Jean Francois Rey, who designed some of IDC’s most successful models in the 80s, such as IDC J.F.REY 879, entirely hand-made in France with chrome-plated metal circles inserted into cellulose acetate frames: one of his most sought after, truly rare pieces.
Pascal Lacotte founded his design and personalised production company in Marseille in 2015:  La Lunetterie Des Anges, which manufactures bespoke glasses according to the customer’s design and request.

When it is available, we provide IDC vintage glasses with their own original case, except for those that have deteriorated over time.
